This mug is created using the Nerikomi technique, in which several types of colored clay are combined and sliced to create a reversible pattern. It is designed to be both artistic and practical, achieved through the use of Nerikomi and wheel-throwing techniques.

The pattern looks like an abstract marble pattern, or graffiti, but when you turn it around, you will see that the word "MAYBE" is hidden.

Because it is cut into the silhouette of the letters, the edges are not straight but have unique waves. The shape is intentionally distorted to make it even more characteristic.

For everyday use, perfect for coffee time.

*There are some cracks between the pattern and the white porcelain, but they are filled with a clear glaze and do not leak.

Care Information

  • Hand wash: Most of Saori M Stoneware items are dishwasher-safe, but hand washing is recommended. Please use mild soap and warm water. Avoid harsh chemicals or metal sponges that can scratch the surface of the glaze or clay.
  • Avoid extreme temperature changes: Sudden changes in temperature can cause handmade ceramics to crack or break. Avoid placing ceramics directly on a stovetop or in the oven, as well as placing them in the freezer.
  • Do Not Stack: To avoid scratches or chips, use protective padding such like papers, cloth when stacking ceramic dishes or bowls to store.
  • Dry Storing: Avoid storing ceramics in a damp or humid environment in long term, as it can cause mold to the piece.
